Inspired by my curiosity for crime stories I picked the film, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile (2019) for my typographic movie script book. The black typography depicts the script as seen in the 2019 film. The red typography is my interpretation of what was going on in Ted’s head. This additional narrative is meant to show the conflicting thoughts Liz experienced during the time of Ted’s initial arrest and throughout the trials. I wanted the audience to relate to Liz’s confusion as to whether Ted was the trusting boyfriend that outwardly pleaded his innocence or if he was the monster that committed these horrific crimes. As the book progresses the design gets increasingly more chaotic with blood splatters and overlapping typography to reflect the emotions felt during the case.
